Spyfall Part 2
Doctor Who continues to. The latest episode, the second in a two-part story, has and her companions challenged in ways they never have been before. Doctor Who’s “Spyfall: Part Two” starts with the Doctor and her companions all stuck in difficult situations.Warning: there are spoilers ahead “Spyfall: Part Two.” So for those of you who don’t want to know what happened, stop reading now.

Ryan Sinclair, Graham O’Brien, and Yasmin Khan are stuck on a crashing plane.
DOCTOR: Snap! Strong position to take during wartime. Two pacifists and a 19th-century descendant of Byron against the Nazis in Paris and an alien invasion across multiple dimensions. That's a big to-do list. (sigh) I have an idea. And you two brilliant people are a big part of it. Countryside / Khan home (Yasmin is using a public telephone box.). Oh, I thought we were heading in such a promising, if messy, direction this week. While Part 1 of ‘Spyfall’ was certainly not a classic in the making, there was enough fun that I was mildly entertained. Whereas Part 2 had me wanting to be on my phone rather than watch for most of the episode.
The Doctor is stuck in the same forest made of wires that Yasmin got stuck in She is talking to herself and trying to keep her hopes up.Meanwhile, back on the plane, Ryan, Graham, and Yasmin are trying to avoid crashing. A message from the Doctor pops up on the TV screen and she tells her friends what to do, helping them to get out of their situation. After that, they get off the plane and quickly have to hide from Daniel Barton, the owner of the technology company Vor who is helping the Master and the other aliens with their evil plan.

She’s in the forest full of wires that Yasmin was trapped in but she’s not alone. A woman named Ada Lovelace is in there with her.The two women talk, Ada convinced that the aliens are her “guardians.” The Doctor then grabs Ada’s hand and is transported to 19th century London.
Race for the Galaxy is a strategy boardgame where players advance their empire by playing cards to build technological developments or to settle planets. Its core mechanic is a phase choosing game. Race for the Galaxy is an excellent addition to my gaming collection. A four player game can be completed in an hour, making it a welcome break from other games that drag on for many hours. Still, its mechanics are complex enough to offer a variety of strategies for victory. I recommend it. Unfortunately, the Master finds her there. He uses his tissue compression device to kill several people and makes the Doctor kneel for him.Luckily, Ada uses a nearby device to throw things at the Master and she and the Doctor manage to escape. The Doctor uses the Kasaavin to get out of the 19th century, but Ada grabs her hand at the last minute and is transported along with the Doctor to World War II era-Paris. Here the Doctor and Ada Lovelace meet Noor Inayat Khan, a British spy who helps them hide from and eventually at least temporarily defeat the Master. Master plan unraveled. While they’re talking, the Master asks if the Doctor has been back home to Gallifrey lately.
With help from Noor, the Doctor is able to make it look like the Master is a British spy, which ends in him getting captured by Nazi soldiers he was previously working with. With the Master at least temporarily taken care of, the Doctor, Ada, and Noor break into the Master’s TARDIS and use it to get back to the 21st century.Now that the Doctor is back where she needs to be, Doctor Who: “Spyfall: Part Two” begins to unravel the Master’s plan. It turns out that the Master is only using the Kasaavin as a means to an end and plans on getting rid of them afterward. The Doctor reveals this and the Master is trapped in the same place the Doctor and Yasmin were, the Kasaavin’s dimension. The Doctor then finds her TARDIS and drops Noor and Ada back in their proper time periods, but not before erasing their memories of the adventures they had with her.
