Purge Valve

I purchased a 2005 Cadillac Escalade ESV (6.0 LQ9 motor) with around 150K miles on it. The previous owner apparently 'topped off' the tank because I had issues filling the tank from day one. After a search I found out topping off will send fuel to the vapor canister, destroying the membrane holding the carbon in resulting in carbon pellets filling up all the emission lines and causing the hard to fill issue. Since I was replacing this, I went ahead and replaced the other two emission components: ASIN:B000IXUBIA ACDelco 214-1105 GM Original Equipment Vapor Canister Purge Valve and ASIN:B001KSCSQU ACDelco 214-2149 Professional Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid. When you remove the vent lines from the vapor canister and purge valve, make sure you blow compressed air through all lines to clear out all the carbon pellets. This is very important to ensure your new parts.

I was getting large evap leak codes on my 2007 Tahoe LTZ and replacing the gas cap (I used ACDelco GT295 because I liked the yellow) alone didn't work. So I got this part as well as the other parts of the vehicle's evaporation system (ACDelco 19257603 & 20995472).

Purge Valves. Enter the desired item number and quantity to obtain product availability and pricing. There are two different locations that the purge valve was located at, depending on the vehicle type. The first location would be on the.

I installed this part first because the other two parts are more involved to replace - you have to take down the spare tire and crawl under the back of the vehicle. I'll let my husband deal with those!

I am no mechanic, but I do have some common sense, a step ladder, a flashlight, and a long-but-not-too-wide-at-the-tip flathead screwdriver and those were the tools I used. First, this thing goes in the engine area, so open the hood and take off the plastic cover (pull up then towards the front of the vehicle). Then look for the small green cap.

I had a ticking noise that would come and go on my 2013 Ford Focus. The direct injection engines in these care do tick more than most cars, but the ticking that I was hearing was louder than the typical engine ticking and would come and go, where the normal engine ticking is constant. I found this part in the engine compartment and confirmed that it was the culprit. If you unplug the electrical connector the the purge valve on your car and the ticking stops then you know what's to blame. The new purge valve came quicker than estimated and was indeed a genuine ford part (made by Bosch in Mexico). I suggest looking up how to operate the plastic snaps on the connectors before trying to remove the old purge valve. The connector in the back of the engine bay is easy to remove, but the one in the.

I purchased this part for my 2007 Mazda 3i. The car was having problems being started after getting gas. You would have to turn the key several times, and hold steady on the gas pedal for a minute or two after the engine started, or it would stall.

The part was one of the easiest installs I've ever done. The entire process took less than 10 minutes. Furmins games. The only difference I'm seeing is that on the OEM part, the line is a harder plastic/pvc material that is molded into a specific shape, where as the Dorman replacement is more of a softer, pliable type of material, but installs nearly identical as the stock piece does. After replacing the valve, I took the car to the gas station, filled up, and it started without any hesitation.

Great product overall, and a much cheaper price than local part stores. I read reviews stating the 214-2149 will work on my 06 5.3L extended cab silverado even though Amazon said it would not fit my truck and said to buy the $60 part. So for $12 I thought I'd give it a try. The 214-2149 is stamped exactly the same as what I took off my truck (PA-GF30). Slid the old one off the bracket.

Used a small standard screwdriver to push the release pin up on the white clip. Cut off the old hose (was too tight to pull off and reuse). Used about 18' of 5/8 heater hose ($1/foot at local hardware store) and two clamps to attach the new hose.

$15 fix rather than the $125 for OE parts. Received the parts very quickly, less than 24hrs, I love Amazon Prime. I installed this part on a 2007 Suzuki XL-7 to fix the P0496 eror code and to resolve the problem with the car not starting after getting gas. It took less than 15 min to install and it resolved both problems. To install remove the plastic V6 engine cover and this part is located near the top of the motor near the firewall. The Suzuki XL-7 has the GM (BUICK) 3.6 liter DOHC V6 motor so if you have a similar problem on your Chevy, Buick, Caddy or Saturn car or SUV this part should fix your problem.

I also want to say that this part is about $125 dollars from a GM or Suzuki dealership. Ordered for my 2005 Hyundai Sonata which would have trouble starting after getting gas each time.

I would have to rev up the engine and quickly shift the gear to keep the car running after getting gas. Then it wouldn't be a problem until I filled up again. This would make me nervous in traveling far distances in case it wouldn't start at all.

After researching I saw something about the Purge Control Valve. Finding it on Amazon for a third of the price I decided to try it after spending over $300 from mechanics that never solved the problem.

I installed in about 20 minutes and have yet to have an issue after filling up.This part has helped me fixed my own car and the issue I had for around $25 dollars. Highly Recommend.
