We once booked PEN-KBR with firefly and they cancelled the route but re-routed us PEN-SZB/SZB-TGG causing a flurry of research on our new destinations. I would say I had a terribly bad experience flying with firefly in March 2012. I have not been so frightened before. While the was taking off, during the first 5min, the suddenly had a rapid descending for a bout 2 sec, then the rise back again.

The worse thing is, the passengers at the front row heard screaming from the cockpit! And one of the front rows passengers is an experience pilot who have flew for more than 10k hours. He also find this is very unusual, he came to the back row, asking stewardess about the condition, and requested to talk to the pilot. Obviously the stewardess claimed everything is fine and would not allow him to talk to the pilot for security reason. Some even suspect it could be a highjack.

During the whole 2 hours, there was no announcement made by the pilot at all. The environment is so intense. Of course some passengers couldn't be bothered. But there were also passengers like me, worrying that not be able to our my family anymore. But at the end, luckily the landed safely.
